Lucrezia Zanardi (b. 1994 in Bologna, Italy) is a media artist, research assistant, and lecturer in art studies at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Currently, Lucrezia is working on an archive-based PhD project at the Edith-Stein-Archive in Cologne. She lives and works in Dortmund, DE.
PhD researcher at FH Dortmund and Radboud University Nijmegen.
Board Member, Non-Profit Etty Hillesum Huis Middelburg: Leading curator of the permanent exhibition and contemporary arts programs.
MA in Photography - Photographic Studies at FH Dortmund (2020). BA studies at HfG Karlsruhe and IUAV Venice. Graduated in Multimedia Arts at IUAV University of Venice (2016).

"In my work, I focus on two overarching themes: Self- and collective perception and memory practices in archival research. Materiality, its three-dimensional presence as well as tactile sensation are essential for my photographic practice. My first self oriented focus developed through the years on a reflection on the perception of archival material and layers of memory, eventually permitting a phenomenological inquiry of the photographic act."
